The Jefferson County Board of Supervisors approved a plan to renovate and remodel the Jefferson County courtroom in the courthouse.  Renovation and remodeling included a new, more efficient heating and cooling system, a lobby for waiting, and limited access to the Judge's chambers to enhance security.  Also included were meeting rooms for attorneys and clients. Work began in Jan 2010, and the dedication was held June 4, 2010.
