The Maasdam Barns opened for the 2013 season on May 11.
Hours are 1-4pm Tuesdays and Thursdays, and 10am-4pm on Saturdays.
In addition, tours are available by appointment.
Since the Maasdam Barns complex (The Evergreen Ridge Stock Farm) is an entirely volunteer operation, we are always in need of more volunteers.
The Maasdam Barns Preservation Committee needs more people to staff the Museum/Visitors Center and guide visitors through the barns, which are open from May through November each year.
This could be your opportunity to greet a wide variety of visitors and help them learn about farming practices and early farm industries in the early 20th century, and to understand why Fairfield became such an interesting town.
Larry Nash, chairman of the barns committee, stated, "We need help in designing a plan for adequately staffing the barns, and perhaps have the barns open more often. The more volunteers we have, the easier it will be."
